“Charleston Gardens”

In honor of the upcoming exhibit at Ringling, Gardens in Perpetual Bloom, I have been comprising illustrations from some lovely books about Gardening and Botanicals.

The following selections are from “Charleston Gardens” by Loutrel W. Briggs published in 1951.  The book is a celebration of the gardens found in Charleston South Carolina and includes a wide variety of images from illustrations, to photographs, and even maps of the various gardens.
